NAPLES — SORRENTO
Upon arrival in Naples, take your private transfer, with an English-speaking driver, to your hotel in Sorrento, the ideal place for exploring the Amalfi Coast. .
POSITANO, AMALFI & RAVELLO
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. From Sorrento, take a full-day small-group tour driving down winding roads to the town of Positano, a romantic and exclusive village sloping to the sea. The structure of the town is very unique with colourful houses huddling on top of one another. Amalfi is the main town on the coast and is an important tourist destination, as is Positano and Ravello. Enjoy the beautiful views of this charming part of Italy. Return to your hotel.
POMPEII & HERCULANEUM
Breakfast at hotel. Along with your English-speaking guide, enjoy a small-group tour to visit one of the most important archaeological sites in the Campania Region, Pompeii. Explore the amazing remains of this extraordinary city by foot, immortalized by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D., world renowned for the exceptional relics, buildings and infrastructure of the site. Continue to an enchanting property on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius. A short walk through the vineyards will be followed by a delicious lunch made with typical products found in the region, accompanied by a sampling of famous Lachryma Christi wine. In the afternoon, we return to Sorrento.
SORRENTO
After breakfast, enjoy your day at leisure. Perhaps take a dip in Naples Bay and be sure to walk through the pedestrian-only streets at night.
CAPRI
Breakfast. Today, depart for Capri, travelling along the Sorrento Coast. Along the way, admire the ancient fishing village of Marina Grande, the ruins of a Roman villa near Bagni della Regina Giovanna, the natural waterfall that flows from the rock, and other interesting attractions along the coast. Arrive at Capri; tour the island by boat with possible stops of several popular grottos if weather permits, entrance fees not included. Stop on the island with several hours to explore on your own. Return to Sorrento.
SORRENTO
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. We recommend a tour of Paestum (not included), part of the ancient Greek colony located about 90km north of Naples; also known as Poseidonia. Here you can see a number of archaeological sites; the most spectacular are three large Greek Doric temples. On this tour, you also visit a local mozzarella cheese maker including cheese and wine tasting and lunch in a farmhouse.
SORRENTO
After breakfast, enjoy another day at leisure to relax at your hotel or explore on your own.
