Day 1 – Friday
CAIRO Arrival Welcome to Cairo! Lying along the Nile River, this capital city is famous for its ancient origins and unique artifacts. Welcome by our local representative and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure to begin your exploration of this fascinating country. |

Day 2 – Saturday
Breakfast / LunchCAIRO After breakfast, begin your private full-day tour of Cairo, the largest city in the Middle East, with ancient evidence of 2,000 years of Islamic, Christian, and Jewish cultures. Visit the most important sites including the Egyptian Museum and the 12th-Century Citadel; the Mosque-Madrasa of Sultan Hassan; and the gate of Bab al Futuh in the Old City. Stroll along El Moez Street, then visit the Gayer-Anderson Museum. Explore Cairo’s famous bazaar, the Khan el-Khalili.
Day 3 – Sunday
Breakfast / LunchGIZA – SAKKARA, MEMPHIS Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Today, you will step back in time to the days of ancient Egypt on your private full-day tour of the Great Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx, the necropolis of Sakkara and the former capital, Memphis. Optional add-ons include entrance to one of the
pyramids or taking a camel ride, not included. Lunch at a local restaurant is included. In the late afternoon, return to your hotel.
Day 4 – Monday
Breakfast / Lunch / DinnerCAIRO – LUXOR After an early breakfast, transfer to the airport to board your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, welcome assistance. Embark your luxury cruise followed by lunch on board. Visit the East Bank including the Karnak and Luxor Temples. Enjoy afternoon tea as well as dinner on board. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 5 – Tuesday
Breakfast / Lunch / DinnerLUXOR – ESNA Breakfast on board. Today, you will visit the West Bank at Luxor, also known as ancient Thebes. See the Valley of the Kings and Queens, the temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El-Deir and El-Bahari, and the huge statues known as the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch on board followed by a sailing to the ancient city of Esna. Enjoy tea on board and the Captain’s welcome cocktail. Dinner on board with music. Overnight in Esna.
Day 6 – Wednesday
Breakfast / Lunch / DinnerESNA – EDFU – KOM OMBO Early morning, begin sailing to Edfu. Enjoy breakfast on board followed by a visit of Horus Temple which dates back to Greco-Roman times. The temple was dedicated to the falcon god Horus, and remains today, one of the best preserved temples in Egypt. Begin sailing to Kom Ombo and enjoy lunch on board. Tour the unusual double
Temple of Kom Ombo. Dinner is back on board followed by an Egyptian galabeya party. Overnight in Kom Ombo.
Day 7 – Thursday
Breakfast / Lunch / DinnerKOM OMBO – ASWAN Breakfast on board. Sail to Aswan and visit the High Dam and Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Visit the granite quarries which once produced the quality stone required to construct decorative monuments such as sculptures and obelisks. Lunch on board. Sail on the Nile by felucca, a traditional wooden sailboat to visit a botanical garden. Enjoy afternoon tea on board. In the evening, dinner is on board including belly dancing and an Egyptian folkloric show. Overnight in Aswan.
Day 8 – Friday
Breakfast ASWAN – ABU SIMBEL – ASWAN – CAIRO Enjoy early breakfast on board. Disembark and transfer to the airport to board your flight to Abu Simbel which lies on Egypt’s border with Sudan. With your private guide, visit the remarkable massive rock temples carved out of the mountainside for the Pharoah Ramsses II in the 13th-Century BC. Return to Aswan and board your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.
Day 9 – Saturday
BreakfastCAIRO Breakfast at the hotel. Take today to relax and explore the city of Cairo on your own.
Day 10 – Sunday
BreakfastCAIRO – HOME After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for your home-bound flight.
