Breakfast / LunchALBEROBELLO, LOCOROTONDO & CISTERNINO After breakfast, begin exploration of Val d’Itria. Pass along beautiful small villages, vineyards and olive trees. Locorotondo is located very close to Alberobello; it is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, a whitewashed maze of narrow streets and ancient buildings. Take beautiful photos while wandering centro storico, the historic part of town, perched on top of a hill. Visit Cisternino, a small charming old town that has remained virtually intact for centuries. There are a series of panoramic viewpoints from which you can appreciate the surrounding countryside. Enjoy a wine and cheese tasting followed by a farmer’s lunch in a beautiful Masseria, where you will see the green of olives and the blue of the Adriatic Sea. Return to magical Alberobello where you will have time to explore the city on your own. Defined by its trulli, the traditional dome shaped buildings made from local stone, the town is surrounded by the olive groves and vineyards typical of the Puglia region.

A series of churches and elegant houses embellish the old town. Polignano lies south of Bari on the edge of a rocky gorge, considered one of the most ancient establishments in Puglia. Many are drawn to it for cliff diving, its outstanding ice cream and delicious traditional local breads of the panifici bakeries. In Monopoli, experience an unusual concentration of cultural heritage and churches, positioned literally one next to another. See small and charming homes, once inhabited by heroic fishermen and expert farmers, whose children are still dedicated to producing great wines. Return to Alberobello.
