This 7-day journey takes foodies to Peru to experience some of the best gastronomy in the world both in the heart of Lima and in the Amazon aboard a luxury cruiser.

Itinerary
Day 1 – Saturday
TORONTO — LIMA Fly from Toronto to Lima. Welcome by local representative and transfer to your hotel located in the lovely San Isidro district, an excellent spot to discover the culinary delights of Lima by foot. Overnight at Country Club Hotel Lima or similar.
Day 2 – Sunday
Breakfast / LunchLIMA Enjoy a memorable day in the captivating capital of Peru. Founded in 1535, Lima was once the capital of Spain’s South American empire for 300 years. Private morning tour featuring the Plaza Mayor, Government Palace, the 17th-century Baroque Cathedral and Church of San Francisco and finally, the Palacio de Torre Tagle, Lima’s most elegant colonial mansion. Visit the Larco Herrera Museum, featuring gold and silver treasures from Ancient Peru and enjoy a delicious Peruvian lunch at their restaurant. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure. In the evening, we suggest you make your way to one of the incredible gastronomic experiences the city has to offer:
Astrid y Gastón Lima was proudly named one of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants for the last 4 years. Head Chef Diego Muñoz oversees the immense flavours of your tasting menu during a three-hour fine-dining experience in a relaxed yet upbeat atmosphere.
Central is home to detail-oriented Chef Virgilio Martinez who uses ingredients from the restaurant’s city-centre garden to produce international cuisine with unique Peruvian flare.

Day 3 – Monday
Breakfast / LunchLIMA After a savory breakfast at your hotel, begin today’s private culinary adventure by visiting Pucusana Beach, located in South Lima. Spend your morning fishing, followed by a visit to the local market to collect the remainder of the fresh ingredients needed to prepare your lunch. Enjoy a pisco sour while cooking your lunch in a local home for a hands-on, exclusive experience. Take the rest of the day to explore on your own, perhaps strolling through Miraflores or visit the bohemian and romantic district of Barranco. Early evening, we suggest a drink at Cala, a chic and modern waterfront restaurant where sunsets are breathtaking. Overnight at Country Club Hotel Lima or similar.
Day 4 – Tuesday
Breakfast / DinnerLIMA — IQUITOS, AMAZON Enjoy your morning at leisure. Check-out of your hotel and transfer to the airport to board your flight to Iquitos. Upon arrival, meet your guide and board your luxury cruiser in the Amazon. The Aria Amazon cruiser was custom built for Aqua Expeditions by leading Peruvian architect Jordi Puig to allows her guests to explore the Peruvian Amazon in utmost comfort. Enjoy delectable indigenous dishes like hearts of palm soufflé and plantain-yucca gnocchi created by Executive Chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino, globally renowned for his Amazon influence cuisine.
Day 5, 6 – Wednesday, Thursday
Breakfast / Lunch / DinnerAMAZON, CRUISE Wake up early to see your first glimpse of the majestic Amazon River, as you watch the sun rise over this green world filled with wonderful wildlife. Spend the next three days with experienced naturalist guides leading excursions deep into Amazonia, bringing groups of eight up-close among pink dolphins and spectacled caimans in the enigmatic black waters. Yellow-spotted Amazon River turtles meander along the muddy shoreline, sapphire blue beaked Amazon kingfishers streak past overhead and antediluvian prehistoric hoatzin birds alight on high branches near dusky titi monkeys playing in the tree canopy.
Day 7 – Friday
Breakfast / LunchIQUITOS, AMAZON – LIMA – HOME Enjoy breakfast on board. Today, conclude your exploration of the Amazon and the delicious Flavours of Peru. Disembark and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Lima and your connecting flight home.
